Welcome! I’m Karol the owner/designer of Desert Wreath Creation

Starting out from humble beginnings, I was born into a small hard working American family in the heart of Texas. I was born the  middle child of two siblings, both brothers. I knew from an early age that the life I was born into and the life I wanted were miles apart, but with a head strong mind set and the strength and determination like none other, I overcame my circumstances and skyrocketed into both my personal and professional life.

I always knew my work would be in the service of others, and this ideation sent me down a path to became a Registered Nurse. What better way to be at the service of others I thought than to be on the frontlines of the healthcare field. Through the years, I worked in various hospitals throughout Southwestern America and settled down in a small town in New Mexico to marry the man of my dreams and raise my beautiful daughter Jessica.

After several decades of being the hands and feet for others, tragedy struck. In a freak accident, I fell from a ladder while working on my home in the desert sands of Texas and suffered a leg injury that would unfortunately never heal.  After a prolonged battle, it was decided that the best and only solution left was for me to have an amputation. Instead of giving up and declaring I had lost, I had a different idea in mind. If I couldn’t be of service to others in the medical setting, I would instead make the world more beautiful by sharing my beautiful designs and my love of crafting to others. Being no stranger to pain nor circumstance, I continued to prevail, surpassing all odds and expectations.

Fast forward a few months later I found myself staring at early retirement. Armed with nothing but faith and few hundred dollars of crafting supplies, I set out to start my own small business. My first “office space” was only a small section at the kitchen table in my kitchen that has now grown out into my now beautifully converted garage where I have tons of storage and room to create to my heart’s desire. Being no stranger to setbacks, but never gave up to succeed in doing what I love. I am passionate about my family, my friends, my career, and making others happy. So make a glass of sweet tea and come sit on the porch of the virtual world with me and let’s get to work exploring your imaginations and see what we can create together. See you all soon, From my home to yours, Karol.
